Kybella®

What is it?

Kybella® is a safe and effective FDA-approved injectable treatment used to breakdown localized areas of excess fat, such as under the chin, and improve your profile. It is composed of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a substance our body naturally produces to digest dietary fats.

How does it work?

During each 30-minute session, multiple small injections are made in the area of excess fat. Once Kybella® is injected into the fatty tissue, it causes lysis -- or destroys the fat cells so that they can no longer accumulate or store fat in that area.

What should I expect?

Each person receives an individualized treatment plan designed to address their specific needs. Some people may need 2 to as many as 6 treatment sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to achieve their desired results. Common side effects include swelling, bruising, redness and numbness. Results are permanent and are seen in 4 to 6 weeks.
